Hoogendoorn are proud to have been chosen as the provider of climate control computer technology for the recent headquarter relocation of the Scottish Agricultural Science Agency (“SASA”). This is a community of 100 scientists and their supporters, based in Edinburgh, whose work helps to ensure the quality, safety and security of their food supply in Scotland, and contributes to the quality of their environment. In co-operation with their long-term partner Ecotech of Brough, Yorkshire, who were responsible for all the electrical installations, and the Cambridge Glasshouse Company, also of Brough, who erected the glasshouse structures, Hoogendoorn supplied SASA with their renowned Economic and Nomad systems for their four large new glasshouses in Edinburgh.
These systems included one Economic system controlling each glasshouse, automating a total of 51 climate zones, eight corridors, nine growth rooms and four irrigation areas. It incorporates 45 Datapoints providing for the latest in high-tech wireless communication, and our sophisticated MeteoScope Plus software module, delivering the latest in up-to-date weather forecasting in co-operation with our expert partner, MeteoScope.
Last but not least, SASA also concluded a maintenance contract with Hoogendoorn Automation, safeguarding the continued smooth running of their operations.
