Sensiplant: The easy wireless solution for pot plant cultivation!

Dear Sir/Madam,

Measurements mean knowledge – this also applies to soil humidity in the pot plant growing sector. Many growers determine soil humidity by picking up individual plants, removing the pot and then assessing the root sector. This is very time-consuming, and it is almost impossible to look at the whole greenhouse.

In co-operation with TNO, Hoogendoorn Growth Management have developed a unique wireless measuring system to easily determine soil humidity of pot plants in different crops sections. Sensiplant makes automatic monitoring possible in an affordable and accurate manner.

What is Sensiplant

  • A mobile measuring system to determine soil humidity;
  • Available as a basic package of 5, 10 or 20 sensors;
  • Can be easily expanded with additional sensors
  • No ties to any one brand of climate computer;
  • Wireless sensors make for very flexible use;
  • Provides direct insight into the humidity of the plant and can be monitored remotely;
  • Can be adapted to 10 different substrate types, amongst others peat, clay granules, rock wool, bark, cocos, Perlite etc.

Avoid risks!

"Greenhouses keep increasing in size and have more and more crop sections. Control of soil humidity is therefore of increasing importance. With Sensiplant you save time and avoid risks!"

Dion Ten Have from Honselersdijk

"One day without sufficient water is one day without growth. This is the system I have been waiting to have for 10 years. The beauty of the system is that as a non-user of a Hoogendoorn climate computer, I can still use the Sensiplant."

Teun van der Lugt from De Lier

Clever technology by TNO

The communication between Sensiplant sensors uses a self-organising protocol patented by TNO. This ensures that sensors will re-establish contact if they are moved. This means Sensiplant can easily be installed and expanded as 'plug and play'. The wireless network technology behind Sensiplant is a worldwide standardised technology, called Low-Rate Wireless Personal Area Network. The chips involved are so sophisticated and use so little energy that they work on battery power.
